• A Palestinian militant blamed for murdering an Israeli minister and serving a prison sentence in Israel sues the British Government when 14 British and U.S. wardens monitoring the prison in the West Bank were withdrawn following fears over their safety.

• A burglar was given taxpayers' money to sue the man whose house he broke into.

• Travellers who treat our law with derision allowed to stay on green belt sites they have occupied in defiance of planning laws.

• A convicted serial killer was allowed hardcore porn in prison because of his "right to information" and "freedom of expression".

• A schoolboy arsonist was allowed back into the classroom because enforcing discipline denied his right to education.

• 200 convicts were awarded £3,750 each after they claimed being denied hard drugs in prison infringed upon their human rights.
